Many of the words used in pysanky have their origins in the Ukraine. I am not Ukrainian, but I've sure read a lot about pysanky!

Pysanky is the plural form of the word pysanka. It means eggs decorated in the traditional Ukrainian method using traditional designs.

Pysanka is the singular form of the word pysanky. It meas one egg decorated in the traditional Ukrainian method using traditional designs.
Kitsky
Kitsky is the plural. These are the tools that are used to write the designs on the egg.
Kitska
Kitska is the singular. This is the stylus that is used to write the designs on the egg. The Kitska is heated up and then filled with wax. The wax melts and flows out of the tip of the tool and onto your egg.
